Emergency Services Net – Sundays 7:30 PM EST

The club conducts an Emergency Services Net every Sunday evening at 7:30 on the K3SMT repeater. The purpose is to test equipment and pass information of interest to Amateurs within the repeater’s coverage area. This test is conducted using the K3SMT repeater, central to Somerset County.

Amateurs can participate on the primary repeater frequency of 147.195 + PL 123.0 or via EchoLink Node 506066. Backup repeater frequency is 147.375 + PL 123.0, if primary is not available.

Net Control Operators

The club will be using Netlogger to manage the net. It will be listed as SCARC Emergency Services Net and will be online about 10 minutes before net begins. Users can see it listed on NetLogger – Amateur Radio Logging Program. It is available as a phone app – Apple App Store (NetLogger Companion) and Android (NetLogger Companion) in the Google Play Store.


Digital Net on Reflector XLX814 – Mondays 8:00 PM EST


We hold a digital net for Amateurs interested in learning and experimenting with digital radio. Net control is Joe KD3RVR. We have a zoom call running during the net so that questions can be answered and we can assist operators get their digital radio’s connected to the clubs reflector XLX814. This reflector currently supports YSF and DMR digital modes with cross-mode capability. Interested Amateurs can join the Zoom call, the net, or both on Monday’s at 8PM Eastern.

Western PA Nets

These are Nets that may be of interest to you that are in the Western PA Region

  • Western Pennsylvania Health & Wellness Net every weekday morning at 9:00 am on 3983 kHz.
  • Pennsylvania Statewide DMR net is held every Tuesday evening at 8:00 pm on DMR talkgroup 3142.
  • Western Pennsylvania Digital Voice Net takes place every Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm on DMR talkgroup 31422.
  • Western Pennsylvania ARES Voice Net meets every Saturday morning at 9:00 am on 3983 kHz. Everyone is welcome.
  • Western Pennsylvania PEMA RACES/ACS Net meets every Sunday morning at 9:00 am on 3990.5 kHz. 
  • The Rooster Net meets daily at 6:00 am on 3.990 MHz.
