Training

The North Star High School Amateur Radio Club, NS3HS, and The Somerset County Amateur Radio Club, K3SMT, joined forces for a Technician Class.

Classes were held Monday evenings starting at 7:00PM, weather permitting, at the High School and ran until 8:30PM.

Students from the High School club and others interested in Amateur Radio studied for the Technician Class license.

Students ranged in age from 15 to 95.
An ARRL/VEC test session was held during March 2014.

Six class members earned their first Amateur Radio licenses. Five earned the Technician and one the General.
Our two oldest class members earned their Technician license.
